The two women pinned Amelia's head down, repeatedly shoving it toward the sink. One of them reached out, cranked the faucet to hot, and poured the scalding water directly over Amelia's head.
Amelia screamed as the hot water hit her. She shot her hands back, grabbing a fistful of one woman's long hair while her other hand latched onto the second woman's arm. She pulled and twisted with all her might.
