Amelia Avery looked at the man lying on the bed. She slipped out from under the covers, naked, and began picking up her clothes from the floor one by one. Her face was blank as she slowly dressed.
Once she was dressed, she turned around. Cassian Jennings was awake, his eyes fixed on her.
A sarcastic smile touched her lips. "Master Jennings. Morning."
"Morning," Cassian Jennings replied softly, a flicker of sorrow in his eyes.
Amelia Avery walked to the side of the bed, leaned over, and lifted Cassian Jennings's chin with her fingers. A wicked, cold smile spread across her face. "So, was Master Jennings satisfied with my performance last night?"
"Satisfied," the man's expression turned frigid as he bit out the word.
"And compared to all your other women, Master Jennings, who do you think has won your heart more?"
