"Whether I'm talking nonsense or not, it's the truth."
"You animal! If you dare to marry her, you can get out of the Kent Family together!"
Silas Kent grabbed Mika Summers's hand, turned, and walked straight for the main door.
Seeing Silas about to leave, the woman who had been sitting silently beside the man finally spoke up. "Both of you, stop right there!"
At the sound of her voice, Silas stopped. Still holding Mika's hand tightly, he turned around and gave the woman a slight nod. "Mother."
"What do you think you're doing?" Arthur Kent's brow furrowed in displeasure as soon as he saw his wife was about to speak.
"My son and my daughter-in-law have been wronged. Am I not allowed to say a few words? Besides, Silas isn't wrong. Weren't you in the same position back then, forced to marry me?"
Rebuked by his wife, Arthur Kent's face darkened. "There are so many people here! What nonsense are you spouting!"
