"That's right, I don't understand. But I do understand one thing: Tristan Grayson doesn't owe you anything." As he spoke, Ian Shaw picked up the file from the desk and walked toward Mika Summers.
"This is the file from the investigation. After you disappeared, Tristan Grayson had me searching for you for more than two years."
Listening to Ian Shaw and staring at the file before her, Mika Summers unclenched her fist and took it, her eyes filled with a storm of emotions.
She didn't open it. She just stood there, stunned, as the ache in her heart intensified.
'So what if he looked for me? Does that mean I have to forgive him? And then gratefully cling to him again?'
Seeing her stand motionless, Ian Shaw sneered, "Miss Summers, you think this isn't enough?"
"Mr. Shaw, if you're only here to tell me this, there's no need. For Tristan Grayson and me... there's no going back."
