In a long pavilion paved with glazed tiles at the center of the garden, a man lay reclining on a couch. He was bare-chested, his lower body wrapped in a long piece of cloth. Beside him, several beautiful women were diligently attending to him.
"Oh, if it isn't my heroic and fearless God of War, Ares?"
A smile touched the man's lips. He parted them slightly, and a woman quickly popped a peeled, grape-like fruit into his mouth.
"Your Majesty, the God King, it is your most valiant and loyal Ares, here to report."
Ares knelt on one knee, bowing his head low.
"Rise," the God King said leisurely. "I hear you went looking for that brat, the God of Light?"
"Yes, Your Majesty."
"Oh? The God of Light is, after all, of the ancient God King's lineage. Your actions were... somewhat inappropriate. Ares, this could cause others to misunderstand me."
The God King's eyes suddenly hardened, and he stared coldly at Ares.
"I... Your Majesty, I was defeated!"
