In an instant, his panic vanished. His gaze shifted back to her, and he raised an eyebrow. "Whether I'm being reasonable or not, you at least have to show me some solid proof, not just this so-called investment transfer record. Who's to say she actually used the money you lent her? Right?"
Shen Lang paused, a cryptic smile on her face. "Do you have any idea what you're saying?"
Hua Chen froze. "...Of course I do."
Shen Lang beamed. "Oh, that's perfect. Your little girlfriend's parents spent the entire two million. I can't get in touch with them, and since you, their son-in-law, are right here, you can just pay it back for them." She paused, casually sipping her coffee before adding, "The principal was 2 million, and the interest is 1.6 million."
2 million had turned into 3.6 million.
