When Zhang Binghua saw her shameless denial, he felt a knot of frustration tighten in his chest. He felt a little better after reminding himself this wasn't the first time she'd been so shameless.
He said slowly, "Are you really planning to extort that slimy loach?"
"That loach is rotten from the inside out. Even if I don't deal with him, plenty of other people will. It's like they say, don't let good things fall into outsiders' hands. At the very least, I was his girlfriend once. Better for me to do the honors than let someone else get the score."
Zhang Binghua thought she was pretty bad herself. But her brand of bad was a response to their vileness, which made it understandable. In comparison, she seemed as kind and lovely as an angel.
