For a city to produce a Grandmaster was a once-in-a-lifetime event. Anyone in their shoes would be itching to let the whole world know. He didn't feel any aversion to it; as long as they didn't go overboard, he didn't mind cooperating.
After a few minutes of taking photos, the mayor waved his hand to stop the reporters. He then personally opened the door of a hovercar and made an inviting gesture toward Xu Wuyi.
"Grandmaster Xu, please get in. I will escort you home."
Xu Wuyi nodded, offered a word of thanks, and got into the car. The mayor climbed in from the other side and sat next to him. The hovercar slowly ascended, leaving the spaceport behind and heading toward the city center.
During the ride, the mayor chatted with him enthusiastically, asking about his experiences out in the world and whether he needed any assistance. Xu Wuyi responded briefly, keeping his attitude polite but distant.
