Tan You watched as Schubert, Sanders, and the others gathered the carriages, hitched the horses, and set off toward Kandapes with a CLOP-CLOP of hooves. Along the way, they naturally ran into the guards who had been separated the previous night. After gathering and sharing what they had seen and heard, they all headed for Kandapes together.
Of course, Schubert and the others wouldn't leak any information about Tan You. By now, their group of guards had secretly split into two factions. One was naturally on Tan You's side, while the other was the guard detachment from the Edmonds family.
As the group disappeared into the distance, Tan You pulled a roll of parchment from her ring. The parchment was blank. Tan You hovered her right hand over it, infusing her fingertips with Magic Power, and soon a winding line appeared on the surface.
