"Jiaojiao, Happy New Year! This must be Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang! I almost didn't recognize them. Not only have their faces filled out, but they've gotten so much cuter."
The speaker was a young woman who smiled and greeted Gu Jiaojiao when she saw her.
Gu Jiaojiao was a bit baffled. She didn't seem to recognize the woman in front of her. However, the woman's gaze was sincere and filled with gratitude. Despite her confusion, Gu Jiaojiao politely returned a few well wishes and complimented the woman's child.
For any mother, hearing her child praised is more gratifying than being praised herself. The young woman's face broke into a wide, unending smile.
After exchanging a few more pleasantries, they went their separate ways.
As Gu Jiaojiao and Leng Yuan continued on with the two children, another young woman greeted her. Gu Jiaojiao didn't recognize this one, either.
The woman also complimented Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang, saying much the same thing as the previous one.
