Nathaniel Nathan only presented Vera Xavier with her award before moving to the side to wait for the event's conclusion. Given his personality, he had been itching to just grab her hand and take her straight home, but remembering how easily embarrassed she got, he figured he should restrain himself a bit.
He had simply chosen the most low-key approach possible: to inform every man present that Vera Xavier was his, and that no one should even think about making a move on her.
If Vera Xavier knew what he was thinking, she'd probably burst into tears right then and there. 'Kissing me in front of so many people... how the hell is that supposed to be low-key?'
'I must have the worst luck to have met such a shameless guy!'
When Vera Xavier returned to the formation, the other girls from Veridia University stared at her as if she were some kind of strange creature. A few of them who had grown relatively close to Vera during training asked curiously, "Vera, who was that handsome guy?"
