Before Vera Xavier could say a word, Sheldon Caldwell, who was standing behind her, spoke with a look of disdain. "Leo Lane, you've gone too far. Trying to poach my student right in front of me? Have you no shame?"
Leo Lane, the head instructor from a rival university, said coolly, "With a talent this promising, I'm afraid you'll lead her astray!"
"You're giving me too much credit!" Sheldon Caldwell let out a long sigh. "Even if I wanted to lead her astray, I wouldn't be able to. She's always had a mind of her own. By the way, since you're here trying to poach her, do you even know what she scored on her college entrance exams?"
Leo Lane was stumped. In his mind, a girl who performed so exceptionally in the competition couldn't possibly have good grades. After all, it was a common stereotype: girls with good grades weren't very coordinated, and vice versa.
Sheldon Caldwell had no intention of letting Leo guess. He revealed the answer directly: "A perfect score in every subject!"
