As for Skylar Crowe stirring up trouble, Sheldon Caldwell refused to believe it wasn't at Susan Caldwell's direction. He was utterly disappointed in his sister. Her narrow-mindedness, her pettiness, her way of handling things... she was essentially no different from a coarse country girl. He truly couldn't understand how he could have such a sister!
He also couldn't understand why Julian Caldwell was still being completely duped by Susan Caldwell. Then he recalled how he, too, had once been twisted around her finger, and his expression soured further.
He stopped looking at Skylar Crowe and shouted, "Vera Xavier!"
"Present!" Vera Xavier stood and walked up to him.
Sheldon Caldwell's expression was stern. "Your score is just too good. I personally feel that one round isn't enough to prove your ability. Therefore, I've just requested permission from the leadership for you to shoot another ten rounds in front of everyone. Are you confident?"
"I am," Vera Xavier replied succinctly.
