Julian Caldwell hanging up on her was a huge blow to Susan Caldwell. She had thought he would stick up for her, since he was a man who cared so much about his image. But she'd forgotten something: while he was prideful, he also played by his own set of rules.
Susan Caldwell was absolutely furious. She cursed Julian Caldwell in her mind. She knew he was good to her, but he had never been the type to spoil her rotten. It was a fact she found incredibly frustrating.
'This is the most humiliating day of my life!' she fumed. 'Not only did Vera Xavier set me up, but I was also beaten up by the very people I'd incited! I was just thinking about how to get my revenge on her, and now I'm being ordered to apologize to her in front of the entire university!'
'I'm the one who got beaten up, and I have to apologize? This is outrageous! I can't stand it!'
But Susan Caldwell had no other choice. If she didn't apologize, she would be expelled from Veridia University.
