Vera answered seriously, "It's quite simple, really. Before bed, I lay out my clothes and fold my quilt. Then I just slip inside the folded quilt to sleep. In the morning, the moment I hear any stirring, I get dressed quickly. And since my quilt was already folded from the night before, a quick touch-up is all it takes to be considered properly folded."
The drill instructors had actually mentioned this method to the students before, but no one had paid it any mind.
But after witnessing Sheldon Caldwell's "psycho" behavior, Vera decided she had to pay close attention to the drill instructors' hints during the rest of the training. Otherwise, a single slip-up would land her right in Sheldon's hands.
'Knowing him, if she ended up in his clutches, he'd never let her live it down.'
Sheldon's gaze held a newfound admiration for her. He then turned to the other students and said, "Look at you, and then look at Vera Xavier. You're all pathetic! You deserve your punishment!"
