Sheldon Caldwell said sullenly, "But I don't want to talk to you right now. Just looking at you makes me mad."
Vera Xavier coaxed him, "Men who are too petty have trouble finding a wife, so you should try to be more magnanimous. If you behave yourself, I might even set you up with someone another day."
"Oh, thanks a lot!" Sheldon Caldwell shamelessly rolled his eyes at her. "A guy as amazing as me can find any girl I want. You think I need you to set me up? What if you introduce me to a girl with a dark heart like yours? I'd die of frustration!"
Vera Xavier found that bantering with him was actually quite fun. "That's probably not going to happen. After all, I'm the only girl in the world as exceptional as I am."
"You're just as self-righteous as Nathaniel Nathan," Sheldon Caldwell assessed, before finally getting to the point. "I heard about what happened in the cafeteria today and told my mom. She wants to meet you this Sunday to thank you properly."
