Susan Caldwell shook her head. "Before Skylar started that scene with her, I'm certain I'd never seen her before."
Irene Jensen said thoughtfully, "That's strange, then."
Although Irene Jensen was a girl, she was quite well-known in Veridia. Meticulous and composed, she had earned the nickname "Lady Strategist." She was close with Susan Caldwell and often helped her strategize.
Susan Caldwell smiled. "It's probably because Skylar had that unpleasant clash with her, so she's taking it out on me."
