"Morgan, I have to get going. I have something to do."
Hannah Hale rose from the sofa, walked over to the desk, and handed her phone to Morgan Joyce.
It was Sunday, and Hannah had to go to Nathan Redgrave's family home for dinner. Morgan knew.
"Alright, I'll walk you down."
"Don't worry about it, you focus on your work. I can get down on my own. Oh, by the way, Mama Joyce said she'll be back at the end of the year and wants you to hurry up and win that girl over."
Morgan Joyce stood up from his leather swivel chair, a smile touching his handsome, refined face. "I'll do my best."
"What do you mean, 'you'll do your best'? You can't be so reserved when you're pursuing a girl. You have to be thick-skinned and relentless."
Hannah Hale lectured with the air of a seasoned expert as she walked toward the door. "Besides, for a man like you who's rich and good-looking, chasing a girl shouldn't be that hard, right? Try to bring her home for the New Year."
