Evan Jacobs's face crumpled as he sat on the sofa. He had only wanted to sow discord between Aiden Shaw and May Shelby, but he never expected to drag the Jacobs Group down with him.
He was kicking himself.
"Brother, Mom worked for half her life to build the Jacobs Group. Aren't you going a bit too far?"
Aiden Shaw watched him, his narrow eyes filled with a chilling coldness. "And isn't this all thanks to you?"
"I swear, if I kidnapped your wife, then may I be struck by lightning and... and get run over by a car."
Evan Jacobs clenched his jaw and swore the vicious oath.
Aiden Shaw just gave him a cold glance, then picked up the desk phone and dialed security. "I have some people causing a disturbance here. Could you come and take care of it?"
"Yes, Dr. Shaw."
After hanging up, Aiden began organizing his case files, completely ignoring the mother and son as if they were thin air.
