Peach pulled Laura Lowell away, but Austin Thorne grabbed her wrist. His grip was tight enough to hurt.
Laura Lowell's brow furrowed. "What the hell do you want?"
"I want you to divorce Aiden Shaw and be my girlfriend again."
Austin Thorne shifted the umbrella to Laura's side, shielding the part of her body being drenched by the rain.
"I just don't get it. How can you be so completely and utterly shameless?"
Peach cursed furiously. 'Divorce him to be his girlfriend? As if!'
Laura Lowell glanced at the wrist Austin Thorne was gripping tightly, her gaze turning cold and distant. "Stop daydreaming. I never liked you in the first place."
Austin Thorne didn't get angry, as if he had expected Laura to react this way.
"There's no rush. We have our whole lives ahead of us. Who knows what might happen?"
The headlights of an SUV blazed toward them, and Laura instinctively turned her head away from the light.
