Laura Lowell knew that Aiden Shaw never gave the women who tried to get close to him a second glance.
But this endless cycle of them pestering him was starting to get on her nerves.
Hearing the sharp edge in her voice, the smile on Aiden Shaw's lips quickly spread to his eyes.
He leaned over slightly, took the phone from Nancy's hand, and flipped the camera. "I'll take you out for a nice meal tonight. A great new restaurant just opened near the hospital."
"Okay. Then pick me up after you get off work."
Laura Lowell watched the man on the screen, a ripple of affection stirring in her crystal-clear eyes.
"Oh, right, I've already found the apartment. Yvonne Sloan can move in today."
Laura Lowell had truly underestimated his abilities. To think he'd found an apartment so quickly.
"I understand. Just send me the address later."
Aiden Shaw glanced down at the watch on his wrist. "I have to go. I still have a lot of patients here. See you tonight."
"Okay."
