"My Lord, it's just ahead."
Raylo looked in the direction he was pointing. The space ahead was warped in a strange, rippling manner, like water.
It was as if the air itself had become a shimmering mirror.
He strode forward and rounded the corner.
The next moment, his pupils constricted violently.
A rift simply hung there in midair, about three meters off the ground.
It wasn't large, roughly two meters tall and two meters wide. Its shape was irregular, and its edges flickered with fine, silvery-white light that resembled electrical arcs.
Merely looking at it gave one the illusion that their very soul was about to be sucked in.
Wisps of a visible, deathly gray aura were steadily seeping out of the rift, like the last breaths of a dying man.
Wherever this aura passed, even hard rock was coated in a layer of the same deathly energy, as if millennia of Life Force had been drained from it.
This was the passage to that Doomsday World.
