"Where are the masters?"
Avril stepped forward and asked in a gentle voice.
"They're still inside."
Raylo pointed behind him.
"They found the research notes left by Master Phillips and are completely engrossed."
Avril and Lillian looked at each other, a helpless expression mirrored in their eyes.
"I'll go get them."
Avril said, turning to go inside.
However, it took her and Lillian a full half-hour of coaxing and pleading—even resorting to the threat, "If you don't come out to eat, we're going to hide the notes!"
Only then did they finally manage to "escort" the two Legendary Mages, who seemed to have merged with the workshop, out of the building.
When Delin and Wendel saw the sunlight again, they squinted, their eyes still adjusting.
Their faces were a mixture of unfulfillment and annoyance at being disturbed.
"Young lady, do you have any idea how you interrupted us right at the most critical part of our research?!"
Master Wendel huffed, glaring at his precious student.
