"Super Virus..." Aurora swayed as she repeated Sean's words.
'Could it be...?'
'The Super Virus... is inside me?'
Her gaze fell on Damien again.
'My blood can save him? It can let him live... live forever?'
Looking at the still-unconscious Damien and her own, clearly swollen finger, Aurora decisively abandoned the idea of a mouth-to-mouth transfer.
Fortunately, Joanna Jacobs had left in such a hurry that she'd left behind the syringes she'd prepared for Damien's injection.
Aurora had no time to think. She ordered Sean to tear open all the syringe packages. She then plunged the sharp, thin needle into her own arm and began drawing her blood, one vial after another.
The Vaughn family now understood: Aurora's blood could save Damien. Their expressions shifted as they watched her draw her own blood, syringe after syringe, as if she felt no pain at all.
