Aurora Sterling racked her brain, recalling what exactly she had done the last time Damien Valerius had an episode. Finally, she remembered a detail she had overlooked until now.
That time, she and Damien Valerius had been ambushed by unknown assailants. A bullet had grazed her neck, causing it to bleed.
Before she gave Damien Valerius water, she had touched her neck, getting some of her own blood on her hand.
If the water in the bathroom was just ordinary tap water, then the only thing that could have caused Damien Valerius's noticeable improvement was her blood.
A seemingly absurd idea formed in Aurora Sterling's mind, but at this point—just as Sean Carter had sent his men to fetch water from that bathroom—she could only treat it as a last-ditch effort. Whether her blood was useful or not, she had to try.
