Joanna Jacobs actually poisoned Damien Valerius?
Hearing this, Liam Valerius stared at Joanna Jacobs in utter astonishment. The truth of the matter was completely beyond his expectations.
"Why would you do that?" Liam Valerius asked. Joanna Jacobs had been by Damien Valerius's side for so many years, and Damien had always valued her highly. Liam simply couldn't fathom a reason for her to poison him.
What made Liam even more uneasy was that Joanna had now, for all intents and purposes, defected to his side. What if she decided to poison him just as stealthily?
Joanna Jacobs obviously saw Liam Valerius's concern. A hint of mockery flickered in her beautiful eyes. "I poisoned Damien Valerius because I wanted to be indispensable to him, to be irreplaceable. Unfortunately for me, I didn't become that person. And since I couldn't have him, I had to destroy him." After speaking, Joanna looked at Liam again. "Don't you worry. My poison will never be used on you."
