"It was you? It was actually you!" Yvonne's mother suddenly lunged viciously at the tall police officer, grabbing his collar and tearing at it with all her might. "Why didn't you believe my daughter! Why were you so biased against her! You're a police officer!"
The tall police officer froze for a second, then grabbed Yvonne's mother's hands. "Ma'am, you need to calm down. This is a police station. I can charge you with assaulting an officer!"
"Then charge me! I wish I could kill you! How can you call yourself a police officer?! How?! If you had believed my Yvonne, even just a little, she wouldn't have felt so hopeless and alone! You don't deserve to be an officer! You don't deserve it!"
The scene devolved into chaos. Yvonne's father and the shorter police officer finally managed to pull her away.
"I was just following procedure! Your daughter was the one who admitted she made a false accusation!" the tall officer insisted defensively, though his voice lacked conviction.
