No one had expected Aurora Sterling to call in lawyers. When lawyers got involved in a case, it usually meant one of two things: a private settlement was on the table, or things were about to get complicated.
Judging by the look of these two lawyers and Aurora's demeanor, today's situation was clearly the latter. This wasn't going to be resolved easily.
The tall officer was clearly stumped by the lawyer's words. He opened his mouth but didn't say anything else. In any case, his impression of Aurora Sterling had now thoroughly soured.
Seeing the lawyers arrive, Sylvia Vaughn grew tense and looked at Aurora uneasily.
Aurora squeezed her hand and whispered in her ear, "Don't worry. These are the Sterling family's lawyers. They work for my father. I asked them to come here to help you. They won't tell anyone about this without your permission, so don't be afraid. Just speak your mind."
