Sylvia Vaughn pouted, her face suddenly flushing. "It's not like I'll be single forever, Auntie. You don't have to worry."
"Ooh, listening to you, it sounds like there's a story there. Fess up, is there someone you like?" Yvonne Vaughn asked curiously.
Sylvia Vaughn's face grew even redder upon hearing her aunt's words. "It's not even close to being a sure thing yet..."
"So there really is someone!" Yvonne Vaughn's eyes widened.
Seeing her reaction, Sylvia Vaughn quickly grabbed her aunt's hand. "Auntie, it's really nothing yet! Please don't tell my parents. You know my dad... he'll yell at me..."
Yvonne Vaughn nodded, then said with a look of disdain, "I know your dad all too well. He's such an old fuddy-duddy, saying ridiculous things like you're not allowed to date before you graduate from college. He's a lost cause. Don't worry, Auntie won't say a word."
"I won't say anything either," Joanna Jacobs said with a smile.
