Joanna Jacobs raised her wine glass, leaned forward slightly, and tilted her head. Her long, wavy hair slid down her shoulder, revealing the lovely curve of her collarbone. In a soft, even voice, she prompted Aurora Sterling, who hadn't immediately picked up her glass to toast, "Miss Sterling."
Aurora Sterling pulled her gaze away from Damien Valerius and reached for the juice glass beside her.
"Oh? Miss Sterling, I'm toasting you with wine. How can you drink juice?" Joanna Jacobs's voice was easygoing, as if she were just teasing Aurora.
Aurora Sterling smiled. "I'm sorry, Miss Jacobs, but I don't drink."
'If I drink, you're done for! I can't even control myself!'
Joanna Jacobs raised an eyebrow. Despite her sophisticated attire, the gesture made her look unusually playful. "What's this? Are you trying to slight me, Miss Sterling?"
