"You have to remember, Sharon isn't your only daughter—Aurora is too. Shouldn't you be thinking about Aurora as well? If you let Sharon stay here, how do you expect Aurora to face her in the future? Joy Dalton murdered Aurora's mother, and Sharon isn't innocent either!" Mrs. Sterling's tone was direct and uncompromising. At this point, she no longer considered Sharon her granddaughter. She even began to regret her moment of weakness, when she'd allowed Sharon to be formally recognized by the family and let Joy Dalton into their home. If only she had stubbornly refused to acknowledge Sharon and barred her from ever stepping foot into the Sterling family's home.
But what Mrs. Sterling hadn't considered was that if she had insisted on not acknowledging Sharon back then, Joy Dalton might have just come after her directly.
