As things stood, with confirmation from the proctor and the video evidence, Aurora Sterling was essentially cleared of suspicion for cheating and plagiarism.
"How is this possible? How could she..." Miller still refused to believe Aurora had achieved her scores on her own merit. Her eyes hardened. "Fine. We have teachers for every subject right here. We'll give you a few questions on the spot. If you can answer them, it'll prove you're innocent!"
Aurora Sterling had no objection. 'Someone like Miller, always so arrogant and self-satisfied, convinced she's the best teacher with the best class—how could she possibly be willing to admit that one of her own students is inferior to an underachiever who paid a fortune to get into Class 10?'
Although they were unhappy with Miller's domineering behavior, neither the vice principal nor the other teachers present objected. They, too, wanted to see for themselves how Aurora Sterling would answer the questions.
