Linden stopped and turned to look at her.
"Linden, when you go find Poppy, make sure you bring her back on your first try. Don't give her any chance to get away. Otherwise, she'll just hide again, and this time she'll go so far that none of us will ever find her." This was clearly what worried Clara the most.
Linden's eyes shone with determination as he nodded. "Don't worry. I won't let her get away from me again."
River immediately asked, "Linden, do you need me to go with you?"
Linden smiled and shook his head. "No, I can handle it by myself."
With that, he walked out the door, his steps light yet determined.
River watched Linden's retreating figure and sighed. "Ah, Linden's finally back to his old self. It's so good to see."
