Skylar Hayes was still shaken by the scare she'd had that morning. Even after returning from her grocery shopping, she was in a daze, her eyes constantly darting around as if still searching for that figure.
When she got home, went upstairs, and stepped out of the elevator, she saw someone standing at her door. It startled her. A closer look revealed… Cedric Grant!
She stopped in her tracks. Perhaps from the shock, the keys she had just taken out slipped from her hand and fell to the floor.
Cedric Grant had his back to her. Hearing the sound, he turned around, immediately straightened up, and smiled. "Skylar, you're back?"
Skylar Hayes composed herself, bent down to pick up her keys, and walked over. Though her tone was cool, she still asked, "What are you doing here?"
