Seeing him standing motionless, Clara Grant looked up at him, puzzled. "What's wrong?"
Seth Quinn stirred and took the clothes. He looked calm, but a storm was raging inside him. "What made you decide to buy me clothes?"
He spoke as he let her help him put on the suit jacket.
Clara straightened his collar and smiled shyly. "The moment I saw it, I just knew you'd look great in it, so I bought it. Besides, you've given me so much clothing, plus that incredibly expensive pair of earrings. I haven't gotten you a single present yet."
Then, as if another thought occurred to her, she added sheepishly, "Of course, using your money to buy you a gift feels a little weird, huh? But, it's the thought that counts. I did put my heart into picking it out for you, right? When I have my own money, I'll buy you something else."
