Autumn Shelby fought to suppress the panic in her heart and calm herself down.
She began anxiously, "Jenna, actually, when I left Seth to go to the U.S.A., it wasn't because..."
But before she could finish, Jenna, who had been sipping her lemonade while gazing out the window, suddenly stood up. Startled, Autumn looked up at her.
Jenna's gaze, however, was still fixed on something outside. She held up a hand. "Autumn, you stay seated. I'm going to check something out across the way."
Without waiting for Autumn Shelby to react, she turned and walked out of the drink shop.
"Wait, Jenna..." Autumn Shelby called out, but she couldn't stop her.
Her gaze followed Jenna across the way, but the mall was crowded. After just a few steps, Jenna was swallowed by the throng of people and vanished from sight.
There was no way for Autumn Shelby to follow, so she could only sit and wait.
She took a sip of her warm milk, frowning slightly.
