Mr. Ainsworth and Sharon Ainsworth watched the two of them. Mr. Ainsworth remained silent, but Sharon couldn't hold back. "Brother, have you forgiven her?"
Nicholas Ainsworth pulled out a chair for Jean Grant to sit, then sat down beside her and replied coolly, "What's the alternative? Divorce?"
"Why can't you get a divorce? If you do, plenty of women would be lining up to marry you."
Nicholas Ainsworth didn't want to discuss the topic. "Enough. Stop worrying about my affairs. You're not young anymore, either. It's about time you seriously considered getting married yourself."
Sharon Ainsworth muttered sullenly, "There are only men who can't get a wife, not women who can't get married. A three-legged toad is hard to find, but two-legged men are a dime a dozen."
