Aside from being a little lazy, she had no other faults. She pulled a theater ticket from her pocket. "My son got this from work. He told me to go, but I have to pick up the kids from school. Where would I find the time? Here, it's yours."
Cecilia Adler took it. The show was for three o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
She had only ever heard her grandmother sing opera; she had never seen a professional production.
'I might as well go.'
She put down the bowl and the ticket, got out of bed, and opened the wardrobe. She took out her homemade anti-dandruff shampoo. "I heard you mention your scalp was itchy a while back. I bought this anti-dandruff shampoo some time ago. Why don't you try it?" She wasn't comfortable with the idea of owing people favors.
"Is it any good? How much did it cost?"
