The two officials also found Mrs. Holden's words to be utterly absurd.
But they had just seen her son, who insisted that Cecilia Adler had assaulted him. He claimed to be too traumatized to come out and identify her.
"Miss Adler, do you have an alibi?"
Cecilia Adler's expression was strange. 'What is this? Are you siding with the Holden family? Fine!' she said. "I don't have an alibi. Does her son have any proof?"
