Jim Quincy: "...When did you get so good at crunching numbers?"
"How am I supposed to get into college if I can't even do simple math like this?"
"That's not what I meant." Jim Quincy took another sip of water. "Forget it. I can't win an argument with you. We'll just leave it at that, then?"
"Then I'll let you get back to it." Ian Quincy left.
Jim Quincy felt another wave of frustration. 'Those two... not a single one of them gives me any peace!'

When Ian Quincy returned to the family housing compound, Cecilia Adler was already waiting for him with breakfast prepared. "Ian, where'd you go?"
"I was about to ask you the same thing. I woke up this morning and you were gone."
"To buy groceries. On my way back, I ran into the old man from downstairs. He insisted on pulling me aside to chat and offered to give me the Copper Coin again. When he saw I really wouldn't accept it, he asked if he could still come over for meals. He's quite an interesting character."
