Ian Quincy stood up and snagged the last drumette with his chopsticks. "Honey, you're the youngest in the family. This is for you."
Cecilia Adler covered her mouth with her hand, smiling. "Mm-hmm."
"I've never seen you put any food on my plate," Mrs. Quincy muttered with a pout.
"A man takes care of his own wife. Dad's just not being very observant, so why are you coming after me? Or are you just unhappy to see me treating Cecilia well?" Ian Quincy's words were a rebuke to them both.

Ignoring their discomfort, Ian Quincy made a point of placing more meat into Cecilia Adler's bowl. "Eat up."
