The group arrived at the entrance of the Su Gong Fu Restaurant.
Cecilia Adler slowed her pace, cupping a hand over her mouth. In a voice only the two of them could hear, she whispered, "Ian, why are we coming here to eat again? Master Chapman doesn't know you, but he knows me. If he happens to spot me and figures out Dad's identity, Dad will be in a world of trouble, won't he?"
Although she felt a little unsettled by her father-in-law sneaking glances at her, she didn't want him to get into trouble.
Ian Quincy's brow furrowed. 'So, she means that guy has been here with her?' he thought. 'Just what has been going on with him and my wife all this time?! Did they...?' The very thought of the two of them in bed together was like a knife to his heart.
He suppressed his anguish and fury. "And so what if he does?" he said. "It's just his word. Who would believe him? Besides, you two had a deal. If he rats you out, wouldn't he be exposing himself at the same time?"
