Ah Qi and his guards tore the entire Regent Prince Mansion apart, finally discovering something suspicious inside the bedroom wardrobe.
A guard knocked on the wall and listened carefully, then turned to Ah Qi.
"Your Highness, this wall is hollow."
Ah Qi ordered his men to move the wardrobe.
But it was no use. The wardrobe was attached to the wall and couldn't be moved.
Ah Qi climbed into the wardrobe himself, running his fingers over every inch of the surface, not even sparing the deepest crevices.
Finally, he discovered a mechanism hidden in a secret compartment of the wardrobe.
He activated the mechanism, and the back wall of the wardrobe opened, revealing a bottomless secret passage.
Ah Qi left a few guards to stand watch outside while the rest followed him into the secret passage.
The secret passage was dimly lit, with only the faint yellow glow from the lantern in Ah Qi's hand.
