"President, what's wrong?"
The assistant in the passenger seat turned around, startled, and quickly asked.
"It hurts… it hurts… I can't take it… Quick… get to a hospital."
Gao Tang squeezed out a few words through gritted teeth, his hands clamped tightly below his waist.
"Go to the City People's Hospital."
The assistant hurriedly told the driver.
The driver glanced at the GPS and frowned. "The City People's Hospital is pretty far from here. There's an overpass up ahead under construction, and the traffic is a sea of red. It'll take at least half an hour to get there."
"Half an hour?"
Hearing that number, Gao Tang's vision went black, and he almost passed out.
Every extra second of pain was torture. Half an hour would be the death of him!
He curled into a ball, trembling as he asked, "The… the nearest hospital… how long?"
