The air seemed to freeze for two seconds.
"Which one of you sons of bitches did this?!"
The old woman angrily slammed the photo on the ground and started cursing. "That immoral bastard! Tricking me with a worthless piece of paper! I almost threw out my back."
The old man next to her had been about to curse as well, but when he saw how furious she was, and then saw it was just a piece of paper, he burst out laughing.
"HAHAHA! Serves you right for being so grabby! You snatched a whole lot of nothing, didn't you?"
The old man gloated, "Looks like even the cicadas know who's got a rotten heart. They turned into paper just to piss you off."
"Shut up, you old geezer."
The old man didn't argue with her, smugly carrying his stick to the next tree.
'Hmph. This is a job for my eagle eyes.'
He hadn't taken more than a few steps before he spotted another one high up in a poplar tree.
'Hehe, this one has to be real… huh?'
