This was because every single Skaven Ratman soldier possessed multiple special abilities bestowed as Divine Gifts by the Chaos Four Gods. Each one was incredibly powerful, comparable to a Sielo Knight that had evolved into one of the Emperor's Guard, making them a true super-elite legion.
