After seeing Xu Changqing off, Shen Weimin arrived in the county town just as the sun was setting. The last rays of twilight were fading, so he headed to his rented room first.
Bai Chenggang wouldn't be back for another two days, but Xu Sanhu had returned to work in town a while ago. So even though Shen Weimin hadn't slept here for some time, the place was still spotless.
He put away the items that belonged there. Since it wasn't a good time to go home laden with so many things, Shen Weimin decided to first pay a visit to Mr. Shi at the scrap collection station.
Mr. Shi wasn't at all surprised to see his god-grandson. He figured he'd be back around now. If he stayed any longer, a strapping young lad like him would eat the Xu family out of house and home.
"Grandpa, here." After parking his bicycle, Shen Weimin didn't even bother to unload the baskets on either side of the rear rack first. Dutifully following his fiancée's instructions, he handed over the letter.
