The night sky was dotted with countless stars, a crescent moon hanging high above. It was nearly ten o'clock by the time they reached Upper Waifang Village of the Xiangyang Team, and at this late hour, the only sound in the dead of night was a chorus of croaking frogs.
As they turned off the main road, the occasional dog bark broke the silence, but they saw no one all the way to their destination. It was clear that besides the people who had traveled to watch the movie, everyone else was sound asleep.
It made sense.
Unlike other, more remote production teams, the Xiangyang Team was right next to the commune and enjoyed all the geographical advantages that came with it. It wasn't just that their work points were famously valuable.
For instance, while it was difficult for ordinary production teams to get a movie screening approved, the Xiangyang Team had one at least once a year. As a result, very few people aside from the youth bothered to travel elsewhere for one.
