His four pairs of broad, membranous wings were nearly transparent, yet their edges pulsed with a heart-stopping, pale halo. Their mere vibration caused the surrounding light to warp slightly.

Chu Sheng finally awoke completely from his deep slumber.
He slowly opened his eyes. Within the countless lenses of his compound eyes, it was as if a sky full of starlight ignited. An aura, far more restrained yet also more terrifying than his last evolution, flashed and then vanished.
