He could even forgo instigating conflicts within the spheres of influence of other Authority Level Ancient Gods.
To say the least,
Lince had no desire for himself, or the Star Empire, to become a public enemy.
Make more friends and fewer enemies.
Unite with those you can, win over those you can.
This was the guiding principle Lince had established for the Star Empire's expansion.
However, this didn't mean Lince required the Star Empire to retreat every time it encountered an Authority Level Ancient God.
He simply stated that direct conflict with an Authority Level being should be avoided if possible, strictly adhering to the rule of "not firing the first shot."
But if the other side fired first, then the Star Empire was certainly not to be trifled with.
Additionally, this policy had one special exception that had to be presented to Lince for a decision.
Namely,
if the Star Empire's subsequent expansion encountered an Ancient God at the Peak of Authority Level.
